The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) recently released it’s 2014 Firearms and Ammunition Industry Economic Impact Report detailing how the Gun Industry affects local and national economies.

Compare the gun industry to other industries in the recent economic downturn.

Beverage Industry Not Immune to Economic Downturn

From 2008 to 2014, the industry has increased it’s workforce 78%. These workers have an average annual salary of $52,000, which means direct wages nearing 6 billion.

Take this to a state and federal level, and the gun industry generates generates nearly 43 billion dollars in economic activity.
