Rustick Knives and U.S. Elite partnership debuts "The Kraken" limited edition custom knife. Only 11 knives to become available on Veterans Day.

Hawthorne, NJ – U.S. Elite, in partnership with Rustick Knives, has announced that they will be releasing a limited edition line of custom-made knives called, The Kraken. This very limited line of knives (only 11 will be released) will be available for sale through U.S. Elite’s website on November 11th, Veterans Day.

This custom line of The Kraken knives with serial numbers 1 through 11 features a fixed 6” recurve blade made of ¼ inch thick 80CrV2 tool steel, Cerakoted tan with black G10 handle scales (which is impervious to weather, petroleum, and acids) with hand grooved scallops for a non-slip grip no matter what the conditions, and a Coyote Brown Kydex sheath with a Blade –Tech Klip (BTK) to attach it to your gear.

Designed in partnership by SGM Jack Stottlemire (Retired), founder of Rustick Knives, and U.S. Elite’s Jim Erwin, former Army Ranger and 1st SFOD-D Operator – who the knife is inspired after, and manufactured at Rustick Knives’ production facility in Ft. Bragg, NC, this specialty line of knives is made with the war-fighter in mind.

The Kraken, a mythical creature which has found itself at the forefront of today’s popular culture; highlighting its intimidating strength and power, is Erwin’s call-sign, depicting his undisputed size and strength – the same elements factored into the knives.

"Having served for 26 years as a Marine, Paratrooper and Special Operations Soldier, with 12 combat tours, I know firsthand that a war-fighter needs a good strong knife that is not going to fail," stated Stottlemire. "Just about every Soldier on the battlefield carries a fixed blade knife on their kit, it just feels right and is one of those essential items that we all must have. The Kraken knife series will give our fighters an added sense of power and fortitude in knowing they have one of the most powerful knives available to them."

"As a veteran-owned company, we are excited to partner with Rustick Knives to help provide the best tools to our war-fighters," stated U.S. Elite CEO, Steve Keefer. "It’s been an honor to work with Jack [Stottlemire], and it’s a privilege to know that we will be able to offer our war-fighters the ability to release The Kraken on the battlefield – which not only provides a sense of power, but comfort in knowing they have a strong and reliable tool."

The 11, limited edition, The Kraken knives will be available for purchase for $350.00 through www.US-EliteGear.com on November 11th, Veterans Day. After those are exhausted un-serialized knives will be available for $299.00.

love the lines, and specs of the knife… I would like to see a pic of the scabbard though. kydex, is what I like, but want to see how sturdy it looks.

  2. Just tried finding em on the website, not a link in site. Not even after searching for “The Kraken”. Tech difficulty maybe? Or simply sold out already? Serial numbers or not, I’d like one of em. Just show me the way dammit! lol thanks

  3. What kind of sheath does it come with? Are the limited edition knives already sold out.
